“Cthulhu orders a pizza”

In the deepest depths of R’lyeh’s gloom,
Past coral palaces of eldritch doom,
Cthulhu stirred from endless sleep,
His stomach growled from fathoms deep.

He reached a tentacle for his phone,
(Though deep-sea service was overblown),
And murmured low, in voices old—
A pizza order, brave and bold.

“Yes, anchovies,” he did insist,
With extra cheese—who could resist?
A crust as vast as ocean floor,
“Make sure,” he hissed, “to add some more.”

The pizza shop in Innsmouth town
Felt shudders as the call came down.
The chef grew pale, the driver wailed—
Yet business was not to be curtailed.

“Deliver fast,” the order said,
“To R’lyeh’s gate, in ocean bed.”
The driver braved the shadowed shore,
With garlic knots—perhaps for more.

A thousand eyes blinked in the mist,
As pizza box met ancient fist.
One greasy bite, a tentacled cheer—
The stars aligned for snacks and fear.

So if you’re working late at night
And get a call that gives you fright,
Just know even cosmic terrors crave
A piping pie with toppings brave.
