To my sister by marriage, by heart my dear friend,

In the chorus of family you’re bright as the dawn,

Your laughter is sunlight that splashes our days,  
Your wisdom is gardened with gentlest ways.  
In every embrace, in each thoughtful word,  
You gift us a comfort as soft as a bird.

May your candles burn bright with wishes sublime,  
Dreams spun with silver and wrapped up in time.  
May joy line your mornings, and peace fill your night,  
May blessings around you flock, feathered and light.

Through stories and cake, through sweet birthday cheer,  
We’re grateful you’re family, year after year.
