“I'm a Christian”

I’m a Christian, quiet sunbeam
Waking early, soft and clear—
In the hush before the daybreak,
There’s a whisper, “God is near.”

I am walking in His promise,
Treading gently, hope in hand—
Called to love each friend and stranger,
As my Savior’s love commands.

Not in thunder, not in boasting,
But in mercy, meek and mild—
I find comfort for my footsteps,
I am Father’s cherished child.

I am weak, but He is mighty,
Grace is how my story grows—
Guided by a well-worn Bible,
Where the lamp of goodness glows.

I am salt, and I am sunlight
In a world of blinding rain—
Hearts are mended by forgiveness,
Wounds are soothed, and tears grow gain.

In the shadow, in the laughter,
Through each joy and through each loss,
I’m a Christian—cross before me,
Led by love, beneath the cross.
