“Jesus as the shepherd”

Upon Judean hills, beneath the sky’s embrace,
A Shepherd walks with patience in His pace.
His staff a symbol, gentle yet profound,
He calls His flock with voice a soothing sound.

With eyes that watch through shadows, dusk and dew,
He seeks the sheep who stray from pastures true.
Through tangled thorn and valley dim with fear,
His footsteps follow, steady, always near.

He knows each lamb by name, the black and white,
He braids their burdens with His love and light.
Beside still waters, greenest meadows spread,
He leads the weary, gives them rest and bread.

No wolf or night can tear them from His hand,
His promise holds across the shifting sand.
For lost or broken, frightened or alone,
He bears them gently, brings the wanderer home.

O Shepherd-King, whose heart is ever kind,
Your flock shall follow, knowing peace they find.
Through every season, storm, and silent steep—
With You beside, the soul shall safely sleep.
