“Using God's armor to defeat the devil”

In shadows deep where doubt may fall,
A steady Light awaits our call;
Though winds may howl and tempests fight,
God armors us to stand for right.

A belt of truth around my frame,
It grounds me firm, it fans His flame;
No subtle lie, no whispered fear
Can shake me while His Word is near.

Breastplate shining, hammered bright,
A shield against the darts of night;
His righteousness, not mine alone,
Protects the heart, turns hate to stone.

Upon my feet, the gospel’s peace—
A hope that bids the darkness cease;
To every place my steps may roam,
It plants the seeds that lead me home.

A shield of faith upraised in hand,
To block what I can’t understand;
Flaming arrows lose their fire
When kindled by a truer lyre.

A helmet set with grace and light,
Salvation’s crown forever tight;
My mind made new, my thoughts made whole—
A refuge for my weary soul.

The Spirit’s sword, a living word,
Sharper than the cries once heard;
It cleaves through lies, reveals what’s real,
Gives power to rise and wounds to heal.

So clothed I stand, not out of pride,
But trusting Him at every side;
The devil schemes, his shadows dart,
Yet God’s own armor guards my heart.

Let faith not fade nor courage fail—
When battles rage and doubts assail,
For clothed in light, by grace restored,
I conquer, shielded by the Lord.
