“WRITE A POEM ABOUT BEING TIRED AND STRESSED YELLED AT AND NOT BLESSED AND NOT SLEEPING BECUASE OF THE CONSTANT WORRY AND CHANGES”

In the hush before morning, the clock blinks its red—
Sleep flees through the cracks while the world thrums ahead.
I’m caught in a whirl, like a leaf in the wind,
Each hour rewriting the way I am pinned.

The walls echo voices—too loud, too unkind—
Sharp syllables scolding a wearisome mind.
My shoulders are rivers, they carry the strain,
The tides start to rise, and they pour down as rain.

I watch as the moments collapse and collide,
List after worry that’s not easy to hide.
The moon’s a cold witness, the blanket’s no friend;
I toss and I tumble, the worry won’t end.

No hymn for the hopeful, no balm for my rest,
Just seconds that hammer my heart in my chest.
Yet sometimes in silence, a small voice appears—
“You’re braver than yesterday, stronger than fears.”

So I gather the daylight, though eyelids are sore,
And trust that I’m something worth fighting for more.
One dawn I’ll awaken to peace in my chest—
Yes, night may seem endless, but hope needs its rest.
